Bianca Art
The Bianca Art ceiling fans are a fusion of traditional Indian motifs and contemporary design. They have been launched in India in summer 2022.
Inspired by the intricate stone inlay patterns of petra dura and the ornate metal inlay work of bidriware, these fans feature trims and rings that showcase intricate designs.
These patterns are created using IMD (in-mold decoration) and screen printing process.

The Bianca ceiling fan was designed with a modern and sleek form inspired by the art deco theme.
To complement the fan's form, I created designs inspired by the same theme, showcasing a range of patterns and styles that are contemporary yet classic. Inspired from the art deco movement, this theme explores compositions using lines and geometric shapes complementing the form of the blade trim.
However, upon testing, it was found that the patterns inspired by traditional Indian crafts, were better received by Indian customers, who appreciate the fusion of modern design with cultural heritage.
